The Blessing Way Ceremony

Are you getting married? Would you like to celebrate with your girl friends but don't want a typical hen do? I offer an alternative to traditional hen dos, called the Blessing Way ceremony. We celebrate the journey you are about to take into the next chapter of your life. The purpose of the ceremony is to honor the bride to be in a sacred, connected and joyful way surrounded by your loved ones.

This can also be adapted to a Mother to be as a baby shower or baby blessing ceremony.

Ceremony Flow...

Welcoming, Cleansing & Grounding

To begin we will all gather in a circle, and I will do a short introduction and share the intention of why we are gathering together. Some of you may not know one another so we may do a shot introduction of everyone. We will either do this in or outside of the yurt, depending on your preference.

Thread & Candle Ceremony

We will be passing a thread around the circle and each woman wraps it around her wrist. We will then snip the thread into bracelets, everyone will wear their bracelets till the wedding day.

We will pass candles around the circle, each woman will light the candle and share a blessing, affirmation, prayer or a memory or wish for the bride. The Bride will light the central candle. We may sing/ chant something at this stage too.

Cleansing & Annointing ceremony

Our lovely Bride will soak her feet in warm water with Epsom salts, essential oils and flower petals while we all relax and sip on some herbal tea. (we will be using couple of petals each from the flower bouquets you brought with you)

During this we will anoint the bride with a dab of essential oil (lavender or rose) on her forehead and giving her a note you wrote. (If this a is for a baby shower you can guess the baby's gender) Just something short and sweet. The bride will read these during your flower Crown making.

Flower Crown making

Everyone will have brought some flowers with them. We will be creating a beautiful flower crown each and save one of our flowers to add into the Bride's crown.

We will have lots of photo opportunities!

This also a good opportunity to share any gifts you have for the Bride.

Song & Chant circle

This is optional, if this isn't for you that's totally fine! But I really would recommend it. As we sing our walls melt and we connect to one another on a deeper more intimate level. Many people find this people moving and is a special memory that will stay with them.

Closing & Connecting

We join together to close the circle and give our final blessing to the Bride. We share food, sit& relax, laugh, journal, take lots of photos, whatever you feel inspired to do.

I will make a vegan whole foods grazing board and provide refreshments. If you have preferences/ allergies etc. please do let me know I will accommodate to you.

You are welcome to bring alcohol if you wish for during/ after the flower crown making.

Timings & pricing

Length: 3- 4 hours (this will vary according to group size & pace of flower crown making)

Price: £250 based on a part of 8. As this is a new service it is on an introductory offer for £200

Location: Yurt (max 8 including Bride/ Mother) Outside warm weather event (unlimited, extra cost if more than 8)
